The Name: Hextant
Our name combines two powerful concepts: Hexaxia AI, the company building this platform, and the sextant, the celestial navigation instrument that guided sailors across uncharted waters for centuries.
The name also embodies the "Rule of Six": six executives forming a complete bench, built on a six-layer architecture, working together to provide comprehensive strategic guidance.
Just as the sextant helped navigators find their position by measuring the angles between celestial bodies and the horizon, Hextant helps businesses navigate complex strategic decisions by providing clear, data-driven guidance from multiple executive perspectives.
What started as an internal tool at Hexaxia AI to scale our own consulting practice has evolved into a platform any operator can run on their own data. We built Hextant because we saw firsthand how SMBs struggle without a real executive team, and we were not willing to hand our business to someone else's cloud to get one.
